Fanlisting Wishlist
If you happen to own any of these fanlistings, I would like to congratulate you on your excellent taste and assure you that I'm not a crazy fanlisting stealer. You probably have Keep-In-Mind lists but, if not, please spare a thought for me if you're considering adopting out the fanlisting(s) for anything that's listed on this page.
Arts/Design

Subject: Singing
Why: Singing is like breathing to me. I will do it automatically. I've chosen the long, hard path to hopefully becoming an opera singer, which has thrown me into a kind of love/hate relationship with singing. If I have a bad lesson, I sometimes wish that I could stop, but I know full well that I can't. An hour later, I'll be singing again. So, I give in. Singing owns me.
Characters: Book/Movie

Subject: Pirates of the Caribbean series: Davy Jones
Why: He's one of the greatest and most fascinating fictional characters I've ever seen. It's ironic that he removed his heart and yet he evidently still has the emotions that he was trying to avoid. He's also 1) Scottish and 2) a great musician, which gives him INSTANT WIN in my books.
Music Miscellany

Subject: General Music Related: Music
Why: I'll bet this is one of the most wanted fanlistings in existence. Who doesn't love music in some form or another? For me, music is a science, an art, a language, an escape, a means of expression, a hobby and hopefully my career. Saying that I love music is a gross understatement.

Subject: Instruments: Piano
Why: I've been playing the piano since I was four years old and it has been the staple and backbone of my musical life. The benefits that it provides in terms of musical skills and knowledge are immense, and I can't imagine learning to sing or writing songs without it. If you play piano, you eventually realise that it's harder than it looks.

Subject: Genres: Opera
Why: Well, I'm training to become an opera singer, so it's only right that opera should be on this list! It's pretty mind-blowing when you realise just how much work and practice is involved to produce that sound alone, let alone to keep it up for a couple of hours whilst delivering a convincing performance. No microphones, no special effects. Just raw talent and hard work.
Musicians: Bands/Groups

Subject: Nightwish
Why: I can't condense my reasons into a single paragraph. The first time I heard one of their songs, I was absolutely blown away. Deeper research and further listening led me to adore virtually all of their songs and admire the individual band members for different reasons. They introduced me to symphonic metal, reintroduced me to the opera and classical music which I now want to make my career and they are still, above all, my favourite band of all time.
Musicians: Male

Subject: Holopainen, Tuomas (from Nightwish)
Why: Again, my reasons are too numerous (and too personal) to list here. Reading Tuomas's interviews and lyrics and finding out about his life somehow helped me through a terrible time in my life and made me realise that anyone, even someone as talented etc. as Tuomas, can still go through the same problems as other people. Aside from that, I think he's a wonderful composer and a true artist.
People Miscellany

Subject: Accents: Scottish
Why: I would try to come up with a deep, meaningful reason as to why I really want this fanlisting...but I would fail. I just love hearing Scottish accents. I will watch movies and television shows just for the sake of listening to that one Scottish character's voice. I don't know why.

Subject: Languages: Finnish
Why: I started to teach myself Finnish as a bit of a distraction one summer. I've always had an abstract interest in random languages. I was quickly fascinated by Finnish because it's so unique. It's logical and yet somehow very difficult. I love the way that it sounds. Some of my best times have been had whilst studying, learning and practicing Finnish.
Places

Subject: Countries: Finland
Why: Finland is one of the most beautiful countries I've ever visited, and the setting for some of my most heartfelt and significant experiences. I first went there on a Finnish course and had the time of my life. I spent the summer of the following year travelling around the country. I then returned to Helsinki less than a year later. I absolutely love the culture, the language and the people that I've met. I feel at home there.

Subject: Towns/Cities: Scotland: Edinburgh
Why: I have visited this great city several times, and I can honestly say that every experience has been different. Edinburgh reminds me a lot of my home city (which I also love very much): there is something for everyone, no matter what your interests, and the population is very diverse. Edinburgh, however, has the added bonus of its wealth of history, culture and a certain something that I can't explain.
Sports

Subject: Ice Hockey
Why: Although I have watched and tried to get into various sports, hockey is the only one that I have ever fallen in love with. I believe there is something about this game that gets people hooked pretty easily. I might have even known what it was at some point, but after ten years of being a rather obsessed fan, I no longer remember. I just experience it rather than analyse it. It's a huge part of my life.
