History
I started creating websites at the age of 12 via the usual methods: free hosting, page-builders, animated GIFs, dolls and so on. Somewhere a long way down the line, I was on the lookout for a new domain to serve as my fanlisting collective. When I found that Romanticide.org was available, I purchased it at once. I loved it more than I expected and, due to my dwindling interest in web design, I decided to move my personal site over to the same domain and cut down the content, resulting in what we have today.
Inspiration
Romanticide.org is inspired by the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. They are more than my favourite band and my main musical influence. Their songwriter was my first real idol. His interviews and lyrics helped me through some bad times (yes, that old cliché). I was fortunate enough to meet him in September 2005 after a concert in London and he gave me the hug of my life ^^
Romanticide is a song from the album Once. As you might guess, the word means 'killing the romance'. I didn't choose Romanticide.org in particular for any deep reason (except, perhaps, that I do have a habit of killing the romance...). I just like the word and the song.

What and why?
This is a personal site and fanlisting collective. If you don't know what a fanlisting is, visit TheFanlistings.org. If you don't know what a collective is, get a dictionary. Basically, this is the hub of the fanlistings that I own, and the place where I display those that I've joined.
I don't suppose there's much point to this site or the concept of fanlistings in general. It's all just a bit of fun, and there's nothing wrong with that. My main reason for retaining this domain is that I like to dabble in web and graphic design now and again and this gives me the platform to do so. Having a personal section serves my ego just a little, too.
How does she do it?
I use BellaBuffs for both my cliques and certain aspects of my fanlistings, and Enthusiast takes care of the trickier things. Other scripts used on this site include BellaBook (a simple guestbook script), PHPAskIt (a Question-Answer script) and HTML Rotate (a multi-usage rotation script).
The rest is coded by hand, often from scratch, as neatly as possible, straight into a good old text editor. As for my appalling graphics, they are made in Paint Shop Pro. You could change all that by buying me Adobe PS or something. Har har.
